KONI and Whiteline conditions

KONI: the warranty covers faulty manufacture and premature failure within the periods above. It doesn't cover KONI shock absorbers that were purchased by a previous owner; modified or installed improperly; bent, broken or overheated (indicating abuse); used on a vehicle modified for a use other than its original intended use; used for an application not specified in KONI literature; or used for racing, off-road or other competition driving. Lowered, raised or modified vehicles may be incompatible with KONI products. The purchaser and/or installer must make sure the products are compatible and safe with the vehicle's modifications.

Whiteline: covers factory defects in material and workmanship (other than coatings) on passenger cars and light trucks under normal use. It doesn't apply to defects from use on a race circuit or in any form of motorsport, or from abuse, alteration, or incorrect installation, lubrication or maintenance. It applies to the original purchaser who still owns the vehicle the part was first fitted to. No warranty, express or implied, is given for any product specified as "Race", "Competition" or "Off-road".

Claims

How to make a warranty claim

  1. Fill in the Warranty Request form

Use the Warranty Request form with your order number, the product, your vehicle details, how the vehicle is used and a description of the problem.

  2. We'll reply within 3–5 business days

When we reply, we'll ask for clear photos or videos of the part, the problem area and how it's fitted.

  3. Diagnosis

Most claims are diagnosed from photos or videos. Hakon products found to have failed are replaced at no charge (subject to shipping charges). Other brands are assessed under that brand's warranty terms.

  4. If we need to inspect the part

For Hakon products we'll send you a return label. If no failure is found, or the failure is caused by one of the exclusions above, you pay shipping both ways and the cost of any replacement part.

Keep the part and any related components until your claim is finalised. If you'd prefer to talk it through first, call us on 1800 292 911.
