KONI Button Adjustment Guide
If your KONI shock has an adjusting button, it uses button adjustment. You adjust it off the vehicle by pressing the button and turning the piston rod in clear clicks.
KONI uses button adjustment on monotube shocks.
Not sure which style your shock uses? Check the KONI instruction sheet that came in the box, or contact us before you start.
⚠ Before you start
Adjust the shock off the vehicle.
Push the button carefully by hand. Don't use force.
Make sure the button springs fully back out when you finish. If it stays pressed in, the setting will keep changing whenever the piston rod is turned.
Check the current setting first. The shock may already have been adjusted.

This adjusts rebound damping.
Clicks: KONI button adjustment gives 2 or 3 clear clicks. KONI's instruction sheet shows up to 3 clicks on Ø50 mm bodies and up to 2 clicks on Ø40 mm bodies. The shocks come standard on the softest setting, which is closest to the factory setting.
Adjusting step by step
- Remove the cap from the top of the shock.
- Extend the shock fully.
- Press the button and turn the rod until you feel the pin drop and engage.
- Adjust. Turn the piston rod clockwise one or more clicks to make it firmer, then release the button.
- Release the button. Compress the rod slightly so the button pops back out, and check it has fully sprung back.

Not the right adjuster?
KONI uses different adjustment styles depending on the shock. If yours doesn't match this guide, try one of these.
