A complete 50mm PRO lift for the Mazda BT-50 UP and UR 4WD (2011-2020) diesel (the same kit as the Ford Ranger PX1 and PX2), built around Formula 4x4 shocks and pre-assembled, height-adjustable ReadyStruts. It's developed to improve ride quality, handling and control across sealed roads, touring routes and off-road terrain.
The height-adjustable Formula 4x4 front struts are paired with King Springs front coils and SuperPro strut mounts, assembled into ReadyStruts and matched to your front load. At the rear, Formula 4x4 shocks work with a Formula 4x4 leaf spring kit matched to your rear load, supplied with matching extended U-bolts and a SuperPro greasable eye and shackle kit. A SuperPro tailshaft spacer kit is also included. Front offset upper control arms complete the kit. See every part in the What's in the kit tab.
Height-adjustable front struts
The front struts have three spring seat settings. The default is the lowest, and each step up raises the front by about 10-15mm.
If your accessory load changes after fitting, for example if you add a bull bar or winch later, the extra weight can pull the front below its lifted height. The spring seat lets the front ride height be trimmed back to suit.
Adjusting the height is a workshop job. The strut has to be removed and the front end disassembled, so have it done by a suspension professional, followed by a wheel alignment.
Why Formula 4x4 shocks
- Fade-free damping. Low-pressure nitrogen gas for fade-free performance, with a design that aids heat dissipation.
- SuperPro bushings. Fitted to all front struts, with tapered pegs for extra strength.
- Made for your vehicle. An application-specific design, with valve coding to suit differing spring rates, designed and built for Australian conditions.
Pre-assembled ReadyStruts
Up front, the height-adjustable Formula 4x4 struts come pre-assembled with King Springs coil springs and SuperPro strut mounts as a matched pair of ready-to-fit struts. There's no spring-and-strut dismantling before fitting, which helps cut installation time.
Front offset upper control arms
The PRO kit adds a pair of front offset upper control arms, from SuperPro or Whiteline depending on stock and your brand preference.
Ride, handling and load
- Matched to your load. The springs create the lift, so choose your front load (bull bar and winch) and rear load when you build your kit. Getting this right gives a level stance and a comfortable ride, and stops the rear sagging.
- Accessories first. Where possible, fit permanent accessories like bars, winches, drawers and canopies before the lift kit so the suspension is matched correctly from the start.
- Professional fitting. We recommend installation by a suspension technician or mechanic, preferably with wheel alignment facilities.
Who it suits
BT-50 UP and UR owners who want a comfortable, heavy-duty setup for daily driving, touring and recreational off-road use, with the option to trim the front ride height if their accessory load changes later. Check your vehicle in the Vehicle Fitment tab before you order.
